About ABetter Design Company
Under David Beker’s leadership and entrepreneurial experience, ABetter Design Company brings products to life—from the earliest stage of an idea to the finish line, whether that means going direct to market or securing licensing. We have developed products across a variety of industries (toys, food products, housewares, and more), producing David’s creative ideas (Bank-A-Ball, BackBook, and Bisconi, to name a few) as well as supporting entrepreneurs seeking guidance on their product development journey. ABetter Design Company is the place to go when it comes to bringing great ideas to market.
As we’ve grown, we’ve expanded into partnering with new and exciting companies as a distributor. Each brand we work with is thoughtfully hand-selected—chosen because we genuinely love their products and believe they align with the ABetter Design Company mission.
The name of our company is a fun detail not to be overlooked. It is an homage to David’s maternal grandfather’s business, ABetter Gasket Manufacturing Corporation. It was his grandfather’s example and legacy that inspired David to create ABetter Design Company—a place where ideas can be dreamed up and brought to life, much like his grandfather did in 1941.

Meet David
New product development is a specialty and passion for David. He has a knack for developing ideas and bringing them to fruition. His most recent products include Cornhole Shootout, a fun game that combines the best parts of basketball and cornhole, and Bank-A-Ball, a sophisticated indoor trickshot basketball mini-hoop. Currently Cornhole Shootout is nominated for 2025 Toy of the Year by the Toy Association in the outdoor toy category — a huge honor to be nominated! Bank-A-Ball is a multi-award-winning toy that is drawing rave reviews as a unique game in the indoor sports category. There are even more exciting products on the way and launching in 2025!
David grew up in Minnesota before relocating to Israel. He was the founding partner of Bisconi, a gourmet flavor whole grain ice cream cone company that featured in high-end ice cream boutiques throughout Israel, and attracted interest from many large international ice cream companies worldwide. He also served as a senior executive at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), the world’s largest Jewish humanitarian aid organization.
Throughout his career, David has established himself as a person of integrity, a creative thinker, and an experienced group facilitator with a wide-range of populations, including students, professionals, philanthropists, and community and business leaders. This breadth of work has helped David be a master at utilizing his team’s strengths and managing the best possible outcomes for the business and products he represents.
Most importantly, David is the husband of Moran and father of six wonderful children.
